If only I had the talent to draw.....

I'm going off reservation here, but if you've the stones, you'll survive it. This is an image from 4:20 of the 18th episode of Suzamiya Haruhi no Yuutsu(The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzamiya). When this splashed across the screen, I had to back up, pause it, and take it in for a few momments(like 2-3 mins.). Have you ever seen a better back side on a high schooler? If you said yes, you're probably lying.....

When I see art from Picaso or whomever, The impressivness of it is lost on me. It's just paint on canvas. THIS image, however, is art to me. While I have a bit of artistic talent, it's very unrefined. With some training, I'm sure I could be better.

The point of the title is, If I could draw this good, I could just create my ideal woman and lose my self in a fanatsy world. I wouldn't have to compete against other guys who have confidence and that all important "game".

I've fallen to sad levels, haven't I? If it was within my grasp, I'd fall for a 2D girl instead of a living, breathing one. Go ahead and say it.....I know I'm pathetic.

I've been checking out the media from the event I got to miss out on and it bums me out! I want to belive things happen for a reason, but I'm mystified as to why it happened. On the one hand I was able to sell my spot, so I'm not out any money, but I really wanted to go. The track layout looked pretty damn cool! At this point I'm going to plan to hit their last event at the end of August. This despite after last weekend I wasn't going to do any more out-of-state stuff for finacial reasons, reasons like I'm broke. Oh well, fuck it.
I've this Friday off, because I'd planned on hitting D1 in Chicago, but I'm going to imstall the bigger cooling fan and try to sort out the high RPM issue I'm having. I suspect the ignition system, but I'll have to see. Owosso Speedway's supposed to be having spectator drags this Saturday..........

Why does this crap keep happening to me?!

Today is Friday and I just made the call to bail on the drift event tomorrow. It kills me to have to do it. There is no way I'm going to fit to dive by saturday morn., despite my best efforts to get better. The only upside to this is atleast I can't spend money I don't have. I'm soo broke from going to Minnesota, that this trip would've been done wholy on credit cards..... This shit pisses me off. It's not fair that trying to be healthy and take care of ones body should lead to a ruined weekend that you've looking so forward to. So to ease my pain, I'm going to download Aika Zero and get some fanservice!!!!

What a week.

It's thursday eve and I'm sitting here typing to 'yall, while my back is sore as hell. I wrenched it working out yesterday. It was a long day at work, but I made it. Tomorrow I'm going out to the barn to get the 'Bu ready for the Drift Indy event this saturday. Luckily for my back, I don't have a lot to do. This is a good thing because I'm going to need to wrap up early so I can get some sleep before I go. Tech starts at 7am, so I'm going to need to hit the road around 2am or so.

The trip to St Paul went well. the drive Friday was a killer. We got into Menomeni(?) around 4am and got a couple of hours sleep, then pushed on to the fairgrounds. We had a hell of a lot of fun. I figured: (A), they would pick like cars to have a level shootout, or (B) We were chosen to be thrown to the sharks. It was B. The both of us were so out-classed it was laughable. I'm not bothered by this. I'm going to get my car in Car Craft!

With all the traveling I've done lately, I'm WAY behind on my fansubs. I'm not really bummed about not being able to hit D1GP in Chicago on the 1st. After last weekend and this, I'll be soundly broke and out of tires. And I'm looking forward to not having to drive anywhere(hauling a car on a trailer)!!!

Fuck it, I'm going anyways......

I'm going the the "Real Street Elim." I checked with work and they said "NO". One guy just quit and there wasn't enough time to scare up a fill-in. So, My buddy, who also was invited, and I are leaving for Mn after I get out of work Friday and driving straight through! Fuck that's gonna be a long day! I'm figuring we'll get there somewhere around 5-6 am. Registration opens at 8am, so if we aren't too amped up to sleep, we should be able to grab a few hours of shut-eye before. After throwing down for two days, when the event ends, we'll have to drive straight through Sunday night so I can get to work Monday morning. I'm going to be dead to the world, but happy from the weekends event. I decided I couldn't pass this up, being it's a once in a lifetime thing! So far every thing's on track and going as planned. Car's loaded, complete with fresh and awesome clutch. clothes washed and packed. Food and water rounded up as well. I'm really looking forward to this!!!!!!!
Then, the following weekend I'm off to Indianapolis for Drift Indy round 3! I'm gonna be so burnt f and broke from all the traveling I've done lately, that I'm looking forward to no more long hauls!

Just my luck.......

I had entered the "Real Street Eliminator" shoot-out, being put on by Car Craft magazine and figured I had no chance of being picked. Well, I was wrong. I got an email telling me that I'd been picked. On one hand I'm kinda jazzed that I got picked! On the other, I don't really have the cash to drive to St Paul, Mn for a three day event, I still don't have my new clutch yet......, and with all the lay-offs and one guy quitting, I don't think they'll give me the time off with such short notice.
I'd be willing to charge my way there and could probably figure something out for the clutch, but the time off thing is going to be the real problem. Of course, if I could just win a lottery, I'd quit my job. Problem solved! When I get to work this morning, I'm going to see what they have to say about this.....

Anyways, the latest Clannad OVA was released today and, as usual, it was awesome. Those cats can sure write some good stuff! This one was "Another World - Kyou's Chapter". The usual stuff that tugs on your heart strings. Really emotional stuff. Pain, sadness, all the crap that makes up real life.
Tomorrow I hope to round up a couple of tires that should get me through the next drift event or two. As well, I'm going to help my friend take care of a few things on his car for the autocross sunday at GVSU. I have a couple of things to do on my own car, but they're quick and easy.
I can't stop looking at her ass!......
