SD14 wrap-up.

First off, I had a fuckin' blast. I finally drifted the second cone on the basic course. Didn't hit any walls either. A lot of close calls, but no hits. More clutch issues. Slippage again. You'd think that parting with $400 for Centerforce's top of the line DFX clutch would be just the ticket. Was I ever wrong. Piece of shit. I'm going to take peoples advice and get with a local guy who builds clutches per you spec. Build it for what it's going to be used for. Minor cooling issues(still) that lead to heat soaking the starter, making it difficult to start. How cool can you feel when you stall the car on course and have to get a push to get going?...... As I thought, the rear gear is wrong for the ratios in the new trans. Had to use 1st and spin the HELL out of it to run the intermidiate course. If I'd had a 3.23 or 3.08 gear, I'd been fine. Oh well, there's always next time. Hankooks stil wear sweet, and evenly as well.
For all the ups and downs, I had a great time and it was good to see those guys again. Oh yeah, I got fourth in the D1 Underground com (some how...) which I guess allows the to skip the drivers search at the Aug D1GP event at Chicago and qulaify for the event. I guess I'm going to get some grub and maybe start editing up my footage from today.
