Just how am I going to stay busy?......

As I've already alluded to, I'm going to have some free time this summer. I will have a monday/wednesday class in the evening starting the second week of June. But what about the rest of the time? Granted there's jury duty starting tomorrow, but that's only three days this week. I'm told it's RARE to seat a jury on Fridays..... Who knows, it could be like last time and I might sit there only to be let go around noon, my obligation for the week completed. I'll have more time to work out, study Japanese, tweak my resume, etc, etc. One way or another, I'll figure something out. It's either than or go insane from the boredom.....

I'm not sure if it's the boredom or if I'm still bummed about my car, but I've been in the dumps pretty hard these last three days........ I'll let 'ya know how it went tomorrow night.

Now what do I do?.............

I ran out to the barn today to mess with the 'Bu. Rather than just pull the car in and shut it off, I like to take it for a short spin to get it up to operating temp. While out on todays run, on the last leg heading back to the barn, I decided to step in the throttle in fourth gear so as to bask in the acceleration. Much to my chagrin, I felt the clutch slip a little. I must be making too much torque to use a 10.5" clutch. I didn't slip it much at all, as soon as I noticed it, I backed out of the gas. I was hoping to hit drift practice this week (provived I can dodge being seated on a jury, I have jury duty next week you see....), but if I may be forced to pare back my events this year. I want to focus on Autocrossing this season, so I need to make sure the car will be good to go there. That means hitting MDU drift clinic #3 is probably out of the question. This is a bummer, because it's just before Drift Battle and I could really use the seat time. If I'm having issues now, three hours of track time at the clinic would put the hurts on the clutch. Now that I'm unemployed, replacing the clutch with a bigger, better unit isn't going to happen. I did find one on the 'net that is good for 615 ft. lbs. for $330. I've no idea if it's a 10.5" or 12", but I'm broke, remember? 

I was soon bummed with this discovery that I just finished what I needed to and hit the road for home. And then there's the 3-link conversion, I was planning..... Like the title says, Now what do I do?........

Well, maybe not. I finally won a "grey skirt" Kanu Unchou! For all of $20, no less. For those of you who are colorblind she's the one on the far right. Now I have all four versions. Probably also dooming myself to a life of celibacy, but what the hell.

Would you beleive I dropped $34 (incl S&H) to get this from Japan? For what is bacially a Gashapon figure. I love it.

I love being on vacation. Even more so when I really don't care for my job. I still have two full days to go and I'm all ready starting to wind down from the high of not being at work. It's been a great week away from work that I was over due for. It's interesting when I see the clock reading 9:30 and this week I think, "Damn, it's 9:30 already?". When I'm at work it's, "Fuck it's ONLY 9:30?! I have 2-1/2 hours til lunch..... What the fuck am I going to do?......". Come on lottery!!!!

I was able to drive home a couple of animes I've been trying to finish for some time. 1st was Negima. I had to watch the sub audio, because I didn't care for the English dub. In particular, Greg Ayres attempt at the british accent as Negi. It kinda plodded along and wound up quickly, but was a decent watch. Next was Strain. Mecha stuff. sort of odd character designs, but still a good show and an interesting story. Lastly was Rin: Daughters of Men-something-or-other. Graphic with lots of blood and sexual content. This was an awesome show. Great dub as well. There was some "fur-trading" action between a couple of characters that was nice! Definately not for kids.

So, they other day I decided to drop almost $35 on a Omamori Himari figure. Oh yeah it's basically a gashapon. Kinda small(like only a couple of inches tall) for the money, but she is a catgirl figure after all. Supposedly it's some sort of promo figure, so it would seem that it's rare. An internet search comfirmed this. The only hit I got was for the ebay auction I got it from. Can't wait!

Last post I wished for the technology to geneticaly engineer a human being and wanted my own real, living Kanu Unchou. Since I'm totally dreaming here, make that a Nekomimi Kanu Unchou. She'd look something like this..............

For a little more than $100 plus S&H I can have this. It's SOO tempting to just put it on a credit card. I'd just have to choose between pink or blue.....It's only money, get 'em both!

(big sigh....) A catgirl Kanu..........,Why is my idea of the perfect dream girl one who doesn't exist?........... If I was normal, I wouldn't have this issue.

Screwin' around at the barn.....

I ran out to my brothers barn today to see if I could get his power washer working, so I could clean the deck. Didn't work, something wrong with the pump assm. Anyways, while there, I unloaded the 'Bu and put a couple of wheel spacers on the back, re-connected the tach wire, and topped of the fuel. I noticed there was a bit of white milky crap in the oil. Probably condensation from running in the rain last weekend, so I decided to take it out for a quick jaunt around "the Block". I didn't lay any rubber or make any smoke, but I just had a blast driving it on decent roads. I had a smile the whole time. It was great! The change in the cars demeanor when the secondaries kick in is amazing. Like night and day. The car's tear-assing along on the primaries, then you crack the secondaries and the change is like "BAM!", then you're REALLY moving! The run-up from 50 to 90 seemed instant. It's really as simple as this, Torque rules. Period.

I really wish we were at the point, technilogically, where we could geneticaly engineer humans. I'd order up my own Kanu Unchou in a heart beat.

Personaly, I think the paint's okay and the car 's kinda ugly. I do, however, dig these two ladies in their plug suit inspired outfits:

So cool, aren't they? I would be super cool if a NASCAR team did something like this. Of course, because of it's "Family oriented" aspects, I'm sure NASCAR would never allow it. Fags. Of course if Jr. drove the car it would be the " #88 Evangelion: 2.0 You Will (not) Win a Championship Chevy Impala".......

Here they are, The two latest additions to my anime figure collection. And Kanu Unchou ones no less!

And I'm not done yet. There are a couple of catgirl versions that I've seen, one of them in three colors! Must have! And then there's the sport bike one. It's horribly expensive, but once out of school and into stable employment, I WILL have them ALL. This will go to great lengths to keep me single. But that's cool, because no real woman could ever hope to live up Kanu's standards..........

I have seen the enemy......

......And he will lay waste to our waistlines, if we're not careful! I was at the gas station, exchanging the propane tank out, when I saw MoonPie has a coupla new....pies(?) out. A Peanut Butter and a Mint. I love any junk food with sugar and peanut butter in it. A close second is anything with mint. I had to buy one of each. One must know his enemy before he can defeat them, right?.... They were delicious! Unfortunately, my work out this morning was for naught and I will have to go for a nice long walk this evening, weather permiting.

On a more serious note the 'Bu is ready to tear it up next weekend at the autocross. There are finally two cars entered in my class, so that makes four between those two, my friend, and myself. I can take my buddies car and the T-bird. The Firebird I know nothing about. I'm a much better driver this year as i spent a lot of time over the winter watching videos from last year and reviewing my performances. We shall see.

Coming soon, The Kanu Unchou army continues it's march towards world domination........ What this really means is that I've two more Kanu figures on their way to my collection. I now have something like 10+ Kanu figures in my "Crew". I'll drop some shots once they're in house. Can't wait!
